Cataracts Surgery & Removal

Cataracts are a common condition, occurring predominately in people over the age of 55.

A cataract starts out small and at first has little effect on your vision, and results from the natural breakdown of the protein structure making up your eyes lens, causing it to become cloudy or opaque. Subsequently, light rays are obstructed from entering your eye and vision becomes blurry.

The most common symptoms of a cataract include:

  • Cloudy, fuzzy, foggy, or filmy vision.
  • Glare from lamps or the sun, which may be severe.
  • Difficulty driving at night due to glare from headlights.
  • Frequent changes in eyeglass prescription.
  • Double vision.
  • Difficulty performing daily activities because of vision problems.

Many people consider poor vision an inevitable fact of aging, but cataract surgery is a straightforward procedure that is performed at all Perfect Vision Laser Correction's clinics.
