Why iLasik?

iLASIK is different from normal LASIK surgery because it recognises that every eye is different, just like Perfect Vision realise every patient is different. Using 3D mapping technology, the characteristics and uniqueness of each eye is recognised. Then using this information, a blueprint is developed so that the lasers can target the right areas. High-frequency pulses are used to create a corneal flap which is lifted so that another laser can repair your eyes.

Rapid Visual Recovery and Short Surgery Time

The procedure is virtually painless. Some patients see improvements in their eyesight within the first day, with an overall recovery time ranging from 1-2 days. The amount of time you’ll spend in surgery is also very small. You’ll more than likely be in the laser suite for around 10-15 minutes per eye. You’ll notice significant changes in the first month, with your vision fully stabilising within 3 months.

No Blades

Not a single blade is used in the iLASIK procedure, instead using powerful lasers that replace the need for any blades. These lasers cause little to no discomfort, are safe, and most of all efficient in rectifying patients eyesight conditions.

No Glasses or Contact Lenses

After iLASIK surgery you’ll more than likely have no need for glasses or contact lenses. Removing or reshaping the cornea in your eyes will repair your eyesight making these vision aids unnecessary for you. That means not having to deal with the annoyance of finding your glasses or putting in your contact lenses.

Step 1 Creating Your Personal Vision Profile
The WaveScan WaveFront™ System is one of the most precise tools to painlessly measure and map the uniqueness of both of your eyes, down to the most minute characteristics individual to you. Its 3D mapping technology creates a blueprint of your eye, allowing us to custom-fit the iLasik™ procedure for each of your eyes.

Step 2 Making the iLasik™ Flap
The IntraLase FS™ Method is a 100% blade-free approach to creating your corneal flap, with well over 1 million procedures completed around the world to date. Unlike traditional methods of creating LASIK corneal flaps which utilise a stainless steel blade, the IntraLase FS™ Method utilises high frequency pulses of laser light to create your corneal flap. This method not only makes iLasik™ safer, as no blade is used in the process, but provides you with a better visual outcome. The ultra fast IntraLase Laser creates a thin flap of corneal tissue. The flap is then folded back in preparation for the third and final step of your iLasik™ procedure.

The VISX STAR S4 IR™ utilises exclusive VISX technologies, including Iris Registration and ActiveTrak, to deliver precision laser procedures tailored to your visual requirements.

This technology also corrects for any eye movements made during the procedure.
