Starlight Childrens Foundation - Star Ball

Over eighteen days on the Gold Coast in January 2009, the Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions Carnival will boast over 40 events.

MM_Room_Picture_Star_Ball2SMThe annual Conrad Jupiters Magic Millions carnival has become an Australian icon event that continues to record phenomenal growth, injecting an estimated $90 million-plus into the local economy.On Saturday 10-01-09 the second annual was Star Ball was held on the Gold Coast on behalf of the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The aim of the Star Ball Committee was to raise $200,000 to develop and manage an ongoing project that will help to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families.
The guests of the Star Ball were wined, dined and entertained.
HG Nelson was the MC for the evening. The ball held an auction to assist in fundraising.
Perfect Vision proudly donated a Perfect Vision iLASIK experience to the auction. The winning Bidder, Wade Burridge (skilled and professional Bloodstock agent for Magic Millions) kindly purchased the procedure for his mother, Leonie Sayers.
“I brought the Laser Eye Correction procedure for my mother because her eye sight hasn't been great for the last 3 years and she is always complaining about it.
I knew there would be an auction item with Perfect Vision at the Star Ball so i told her to go get her eyes assessed a few weeks prior to the ball see if she was suitable for the laser treatment.
Mum was deemed suitable, so at the Star Ball i waited for the item to come up and I bought it for her.
Buying this procedure for the benefit of not only my Mother, but also the Starlight Foundation felt, to me like the right thing to do.
I like the idea of giving my Mother the gift of sight, and at the same time providing funding to assist a child in need.” Says Wade
Our Perfect Vision team are overjoyed that we have helped Wade, Mrs Sayers, and the Starlight Children’s foundation achieve such a wonderful result.
