The Fred Hollows Foundation was established in 1992 to continue the work of Professor Fred Hollows. The Fred Hollows Foundation works to alleviate the burden of blindness in more than 16 countries throughout the world.

The Foundation's work largely focuses on the comprehensive treatment of cataract blindness amongst the poor, but they also tackle other causes of blindness, including trachoma and refractive error.
